PhilSoc Lecture Series: An Unprincipled Morality

This evening at 7.30pm, Professor Jonathan Dancy will be giving a talk as a part of our lecture series.

Abstract (Subject to change):
“In this talk I try to show how one might come to doubt the usual understanding of morality as a matter of principle, or of principles. I then consider various reasons for repressing that doubt.”

While all of our lectures assume no previous knowledge, you may find it helpful as background to read the following article:

Lectures are free for members of the Edinburgh University Philosophy Society, and £2.50 for non-members. Please note especially that this talk is after our EGM, and therefore begins at 7:30pm.
